Area Attorneys Cope With Changing Profession


On a sunny April afternoon, in Bryan Cave's nearly panoramic, 37-th floor conference room at One Kansas City Place, a score of Kansas City's top attorneys met to assess the current state of affairs within their industry.

Sponsoring this, Ingram's 10th annual Legal Industry Outlook, were Bryan Cave and McDowell, Rice, Smith & Buchanan. Ably chairing the assembly were Pete Smith of McDowell, Rice and Herb Kohn of Bryan Cave.

Although many of the questions revolved around the phrase "the last 18 months," the legal industry has proved a good deal more stable than many others, and the mood around the table reflected that.
